Every Holiday Outfit You Need

Holiday Style

Now that it’s officially my favorite time of year, I’m already planning when it’s acceptable to break out all my holiday décor. I know everyone always says this, but I truly can’t believe it’s already the holiday season. Wasn’t it just July like a week ago?

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is definitely all the new clothes. Who am I kidding? That’s my favorite part of everything. But there’s something about sequins, sparkle, and cozy sweaters that just gets me in the holiday spirit. There’s just nothing better than finding the perfect holiday outfit. Even better if you happen to find 3.

Holiday Outfit #1 | Cozy at Home for Gift Wrapping and Holiday Movie Watching

The perfect Sunday during the holidays for me is at home, on the couch, watching The Holiday with Chuck. I’m always looking for warm, cozy sweaters and nothing beats a super soft one while staying cozy at home. I try to set aside Sundays during the holidays to get caught up on gift wrapping and ordering presents online. I usually opt for a pair of leggings and a sweater, but sometimes people want me to actually leave my house. So with these super stretchy and comfortable jeans I’m basically wearing leggings.

I’ve talked before (here) about my love of Banana Republic denim and it just keeps getting better. I’ve been a dedicated believer of their zero gravity denim for pulling it all together even when I’ve indulged in a few too many Christmas cookies. These grey jeans are magically stretchy and perfect for feeling comfortable, but put together at the same time.

I almost always stick with skinny jeans in Winter because I like to wear big sweaters and I love the look of a cozy sweater and skinny jeans. Another trick to getting the coziest sweaters is to head to the men’s section. This red sweater is actually from the men’s section at Banana Republic. So when you’re shopping for your guy this holiday season, make sure you buy sweaters you can easily steal from him. And if you’re like me and just want the men’s sweaters for yourself, just go buy them. You can shop in any section of the store you want.

They also optimize puppy playtime when you get a little distracted from gift wrapping.

Holiday Outfit #2 | Holiday Work Party

There is nothing like figuring out what to wear to a holiday work party to get you good and stressed out. I always struggle with what to wear. Sometimes a party will be during the work day or after work one evening. How do I go from work to holiday party while trying to be festive?

And sometimes there are days at work where I want to be a little more in the festive spirit, but I’m an adult with a professional job. How do you make the most of the holiday season without wearing sequin everything? (This is a legitimate question I ask myself about literally everything to be honest.)

These Logan metallic trousers are the answer to all the holiday work party problems. They are subtle enough that you can wear them all day at work, but have a hint of sparkle to them that make them great for a party. Wear them with a fun blouse or this gorgeous velvet blazer for work to party or you can change into a fun top like this for after work.

I am truly dedicated to the Avery cut at Banana when it comes to work pants. I’ve talked before about how I prefer ankle length, straight leg dress pants so I can wear flats or heels. These Logan pants are really making a case for changing my go-to this Winter. The fit was amazing and I felt like they just hit in all the right places. They are also pretty high waist so for me that’s great. The top I’m wearing is actually on the short side, so high waist pants are necessary to pair it with.

If you love Banana’s dress pants, give the Logans a try. They’re also true to size if that helps in online shopping.

Holiday Outfit #3 | Holiday Dinner with the Girls

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is doing dinner out with the girls. We always pick somewhere we love and drink all the wine and eat all the cheese. I like to get a little glam for girls’ night. And this year my go-to glam pieces are all faux-fur. I immediately fell in love with this faux-fur collar blazer and knew it would be my holiday outfit go-to. I mean who doesn’t need a little extra fur on their blazer? You can remove it if you really don’t need it for everything, but what wouldn’t you need faux-fur for?

I also picked up this faux-fur bomber a few days ago, which you might have seen on Instagram stories. I was in love with it pretty much the second I saw it and clicked order. No really, I had to go back and shop for the jeans I was there for because I was so excited to get the jacket right then.

I’m a sucker for black jeans because I think they are the most versatile piece I own. I love them for nights out because they feel a little dressier than regular denim, but not like I’m overdressed. And let’s be honest, I just always feel skinner in black. So I typically wear them for a girls’ night out.

They also were the perfect fit with this blazer for something a little more glam. Another struggle I’ve had lately is finding the right black heels. I’ve got lots of stilettos for work and have just been on the lookout for something a little different. When I found these tall block heels I knew they were what I wanted. Still simple enough to be polished, but bring a little something different to an outfit. I’ve worn them for girls’ night out, date night, and work and they are the most comfortable heels. I love this chunky heel for making standing in these not terrible. Which is what we’re all really looking for anyway right?

Do you have any holiday outfits that are a favorite? I think mine is always cozy at home sweaters, because there’s nowhere I love more than on my couch with Chuck.
