Monday! After a nice, long weekend away I’m ready to get back to a routine and prepare for a busy few weeks ahead. I had such a great weekend in Houston visiting family and enjoying a last weekend of hot, summer weather. I will say it was nice coming home to a cool, Fall Sunday evening. I can’t wait to be reunited with my main four-legged man tonight when I pick him up from the kennel. He’s been living a long weekend dream at doggy day camp and getting groomed. I still always feel bad leaving Chuck for a long weekend. I just want to be with him all the time! I keep thinking I’ll try Rover or another dog walking service and leave him at home to sleep on his own bed, but get nervous. Has anyone else tried a dog walker for a three day weekend trip? I need tips!

It’s back to work today to get things done the rest of the month before my next trip. I’ve been having a lot of indifference to work clothes lately so I’ve been looking for ways to mix things up. One of my favorite trends is a bowtie with a blouse or dress. I knew when I found this adorable dress, it would be a perfect fit for warm Fall weather. Bonus, it’s on major sale here! My favorite part of this floral bowtie dress is that the bowtie actually comes off so you can easily wear it with other blouses and dresses. I recently picked up this blouse which is perfect with a bowtie (size down). To make this dress a little more casual or weekend-ready, I’m pairing it with a leather jacket and booties. I live in a leather jacket in Fall. I’ve had one forever and I finally just bought a new one this year.

I love the floral details on this dress because I tend to only wear solid colors to work and don’t play with patterns very often. This dress makes it easy to mix things up, but in a subtle way. I’m slowly working on adding a few good print pieces to my wardrobe but it’s hard for me to find prints that I just love and can see myself wearing a lot. These tiny flowers are adorable and make it super easy for me to love wearing prints. Anyone else struggle to get outside their style comfort zone?

I hope everyone has a great week! Happy Monday!
