Now that January is over, the New Year’s resolutions may be starting to wear off. It may be just a little bit harder to find the motivation to hit the gym these days.
The one thing that always reenergizes me to get back to working out is new workout clothes. It may be even as simple as a new tank top or water bottle, but it just gives me that extra little motivation to get back to the gym.
I’ve mentioned before that my workout of choice is barre class. I go to Barre3 in St. Louis and it is the first workout I’ve ever done that I consistently enjoy and continue to do. It’s small classes and full body workouts that give you actual results. I also love that it’s totally about going at your own pace. Trust me when I saw everyone is just doing their own thing.
Since it’s pretty low-impact, I tend to wear yoga pants and a tank top. You also do it barefoot which means I’m not wearing out sneakers all the time. My all time favorite workout pants are these Lululemon pants. They last forever and are also great for drinking wine on your couch while watching Netflix.
If you love Kate Spade, then you’ll love their new line of yoga gear which includes my favorite new sports bra.
Nordstrom has a huge variety of really cute athletic wear. Zella is a great brand they carry and they have a ton of super stylish plus size athletic pieces, like these adorable pants.
For all the expecting moms, Athleta has lots of maternity yoga pants, like this cute pair. It’s not too hard to make the tops work for moms to be, just size up for your belly.
One of the best investments I’ve ever made is a Lululemon workout bag. I picked one up about two years ago and it’s amazing and has held up so well. This one is super similar to mine. I needed a bag big enough and stylish enough for my laptop and work stuff but also to fit my workout clothes.
I love that Lululemon bags come with a padded section for your laptop and a bag for your shoes. They also include straps for your yoga mat. They are the best commuter bags and make taking workout gear with you to work super easy.
What are some of your favorite workout brands? Anything you can’t live without?
