It feels like it’s been forever since I had a new outfit post up, but honesty time, I just haven’t felt very inspired with new clothes lately. We’ve been in that weird time of year where it’s just too cold to live and all I ever want to wear are Spring and Summer clothes. The past week has given me all new motivation to get back into things since the weather has been absolutely beautiful. I mean 60 degrees in St. Louis in February is unheard of. It makes me miss Houston in Winter just a little less.

Even though it’s still Winter and my sweaters are on standby for when this early Spring cools off again, I’m still wearing only Spring colors. I’ve talked before about my love of blush, cream, and grey so it shouldn’t be surprising that even my cold weather staples are pastels. I actually picked this pink sweater up last winter and loved it so much I bought it in grey, see it here. I wear it all the time when it’s cold because it’s just super cozy and not itchy. I also think the slightly oversize fit is more slimming than a fitted sweater. I definitely struggle to find sweaters that don’t make me feel like my arms look like they have football pads on them. Anyone else have a hard time finding a flattering thick sweater?

I’m also a huge fan of wearing white jeans in Winter. I wear so many light colors that just go so well with white jeans. I also just think there is something so much more interesting about white or black jeans with an outfit instead of boring blue denim. I have to say these white jeans are from Old Navy and maybe the best $25 I’ve ever spent. They are really stretchy without stretching out. A huge deal if you’re like me and your booty maybe just isn’t quite JLo’s. Oh and also you can’t stain them, no seriously. I actually spilled queso on them a few weeks ago and it left a small spot but after just washing them regularly, no stain. Maybe the best invention to ever happen for messy girls everywhere!

Do you have any “non-traditional” winter outfits that are a must for you?
