Holiday party season is officially upon us! And that means I’m going to be needing lots of outfits. I always feel like the trickiest outfits are for the parties that are pretty casual. I mean it’s the holidays, I just want to wear a party dress and heels ok people? But since I don’t plan every party, I don’t get a say.
So I always have a hard time finding outfit inspiration for this look. Luckily, I happened upon what is now my favorite party top while wandering through Nordstrom one day.
From the front it’s just a cute pink lace blouse.
I love tops that have these added details and the split back isn’t showing tons of skin. I always opt for something that’s just subtly sexy, I really rarely wear anything that shows too much skin probably because I’m secretly an 80 year old woman. I’m really selective in what I choose to show off.
I love that this top gives just a hint of lower back. I think showing off your back is really underrated. I don’t like you to realize I’m showing any skin until I’m already walking away.
My favorite holiday look last year was also an open back top.
I paired this look for a night out with simple black jeans and a leather jacket. I love the look of lace and leather together. It helps that blush and black look amazing together and are like 80% of my wardrobe.
I also wore these LC Lauren Conrad pumps which have become my favorite everyday shoe for work. They are crazy cheap and actually comfortable.
I also love this look because it’s great if you love to accessorize or if you prefer to keep it simple. I tend to not wear too much jewelry at once so a top that can be my statement piece is perfect for me.
If you’re more inclined to wear a big necklace or earrings, this top works great for that look too. Simple tops with small details like this are so versatile.
