This is probably the simplest and most delicious breakfast combination ever! Well, besides anything with waffles, because waffles.
For me, this is the easiest breakfast to do at the weekend if I’m actually home. It’s great for impressing sleepover guests because you can trick them into thinking you know how to cook, when you can really just make scrambled eggs.
I also usually have all the ingredients for this laying around, so it doesn’t require any prep or thinking.
What you’ll need for 2 people:
6 large eggs
Pinch of Salt + Pepper
Splash of milk
4 slices prosciutto
Handful of parmesan
Pad of butter
I like to make my scrambled eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper as well as a splash of milk. Obviously, you are a grown adult, so make your scrambled eggs how you want them because they are not rocket science. But just in case, I like to stir my eggs while they cook. Some people don’t do that, I think they get fluffier by stirring them while they cook. Also, I typically lean towards a fully cooked scrambled egg. Mushy scrambled eggs weird me out because I have the palate of a 6 year old.
Oh, the pad of butter is for your pan. Melt your butter before cooking your eggs, because everything is better with butter.
Toss your scrambled eggs on a plate. I like to use two slices of prosciutto per plate and set them on top of my eggs.
Next I throw on a little parmesan just to mix it up and because cheese is delicious.
Pour some coffee and enjoy your eggcellent breakfast at home, preferably in bed.
