Sometimes I see an unusual piece or find style inspiration in the most random places and get this idea in my head that I can’t shake. I definitely felt this way when a few weeks ago I realized I HAD to have a sequin bomber jacket. I actually realized my need for a sequin bomber jacket when I was watching Daphne Oz’s Instagram stories, which by the way if you don’t follow her she’s amazing and her stories are so good. Her adorable daughter had gotten a sequin bomber jacket and was running around in it and I just thought it was the bomb. And so the moral of the story is that it’s OK to get style inspiration from a 4 year old on Instagram stories.

I started hunting around for a good (adult sized) sequin bomber and happened to stumble onto quite a few good picks. Who knew there was such a market for grown women looking for sequin bomber jackets? If you have a few extra dollars you can snag this Gucci baby at a total steal. If you’re on a slightly tighter budget, this is a better option.

I snagged this one on sale because it just felt like the right one. I literally don’t even know how to tell you I liked this one the best because I just sort of knew. One big reason was the gold, but also because I wear tons of black and I knew it would look so good with all my black jeans or leather leggings.

I paired it with medium wash jeans (my favorite are these Banana Republics) and a white tee here for more of a vintage 70s vibe. That’s one of my favorite style eras so I feel like all my fun style gets inspired by it. If I was more interested in wearing heels not at work, I’d wear bell bottoms all the time.

Are you on board for the sequin bomber jacket trend this autumn? Do you have another fun trend you’re more interested in trying out? Leave it in the comments below!
