I’m ridiculously excited to finally get to talk about my favorite Spring trend this year: Mom Jeans. I know. You’re immediately thinking about that SNL video and how much you’d love to make fun of them. I’m going to be honest I really didn’t think I was going to be there for this trend, but when I tried on this pair I knew it was meant to be.

Here’s what is great about mom jeans: if you’re like me and don’t have a butt, your jeans finally stay on. My favorite pair is from Levi’s which is notorious for running small and having on stretch which is great if you have the flat butt problem. I think every body type is wonderful and I too have curves, just not the right ones. We’ve been making jeans for girls with booties for a while now so it’s about time those of us gifted in other areas finally get a pair of jeans that fits.

So what makes mom jeans well “mom jeans”? This style sits pretty high on the waist in that wonderful early ’90s glory. I love this look with a shirt tucked in or with a button down half tucked. I also love that these jeans are either super casual OR dressy. I’ve worn them now with sneakers and a t-shirt as well as with heels and a blouse. They are so versatile for something that’s a “trend”. Since these are 100% cotton, they don’t really have any stretch to them. This is a huge win if all your stretch jeans get a little too stretched and you have to wash them so much more often. This probably only happens to flat butt girls. I took these with me when I went to California last month and lived in them the whole time because they are super comfy but didn’t stretch out so I got to pack way less.

My favorite weekend brunch look with these is definitely giving major ’70s vibes with my new favorite lace sleeve blouse. I also picked up these round sunnies after Christmas with a bunch of gift cards because I’d been dying for them and my inner hippie is very pleased. To add a little current trends to this look I also wore my new favorite pink loafers. This pair is ridiculously comfortable and only $50. I wear these for everything: casual, work, errands.

I know the mom jeans trend can be a little scary because it feels like maybe you’re just one step away from a mini van, but I assure you that is not the case. If you’re like me and want to get in on showing off your curves but don’t have the right ones, these jeans are definitely game changers. The high rise also helps give the illusion you’ve got more going on with your booty than you do.

My favorite pair are definitely these from Levi’s because I love the fit and the wash. Fair warning on Levi’s jeans, you definitely need to size up at least one size. In this pair, I sized up two: I’m normally a 28 everywhere else, but bought a 30 in these. I have another pair of Levi’s that are a 29 or 30 as well. Like I said, they’re 100% cotton so they don’t have a lot of give. I ordered a few sizes because I had no idea how these were going to go. And let’s be honest, size is just a number: I don’t care if it says 28 or 200 as long as I look and feel good. And my mom jeans definitely make me feel good.

thanks for this beautiful and important article about mom jeans. These jeans are super in trend and make you look glamorous. Ripped Boyfriend jeans are typically relatively loose fitted and a mid-rise waist. And over the time, the demand for these jeans has augmented greatly.
