Summer has only been here a few weeks and we’re already off to a crazy start. Last week, Chuck and I moved to our new apartment. We’ve been not so patiently waiting to get out of our old apartment for a few reasons. But mainly we were just ready for a change because change is good for you!
I’m also super happy that warm weather is here. I was born to be a summer girl so hot weather is it for me. I was definitely in a style rut for most of spring because it was cold for so long. I couldn’t even get motivated to buy new work clothes for spring. So I just skipped straight to buying summer work clothes, which for me is a dress most days.
After months of being bundled up in coats, pants, tights, and boots it’s time to dress as simply as possible for summer. It’s hard to get excited about wearing a suit to work when it’s 95 degrees out. I love that a dress is an entire outfit and makes getting ready so much quicker.
I picked up this dress a few weeks ago to get myself in the mindset to start updating my summer work wardrobe. I love this brand and have a few of their dresses. They’re under $100 and so comfortable. I love that they’re simple and solid colors because I love a good pair of statement earrings or leopard heels. I also have been wearing this blush circle bag with absolutely everything. It was one of the best splurge purchases I’ve made in a while.
Wrap dresses are also a go-to style for me, especially in summer. I remember the summer I was working in New York and I think I wore a wrap dress at least 3 days a week. It’s always been a staple in my closet and I wanted to update it with this short sleeve version for hotter days. In the few short weeks since I bought this, I think I’ve worn it every week. It’s just such a comfy, easy go-to summer office look.
I rounded up some of the best work dresses from the same brand as my favorite wrap dress below! So many options under $100 to choose from. I also love that most dresses come in multiple colors and sizes including petite and plus size.
